2014
Ilani, our founder, found her love for getting her nails done.
2018
During high school, Ilani was captivated by a friend's ever-changing set of stylish press-on nails. Inspired by their creativity and convenience, Ilani decided to explore press-on nails for herself.
2020
When COVID-19 led to widespread lockdowns, Ilani channeled her newfound free time into researching nail techniques. Fascinated by the emerging Gel X nails, she began practicing on friends and family, quickly developing a passion for the craft. Finding Gel X time-consuming, she experimented by using nail glue with Gel X tips and painting them herself. Her innovative approach garnered numerous compliments, prompting her best friend to request a custom set. This marked Ilani’s first experience as a nail artist.
2022
Ilani honed her nail art skills, creating high-quality press-on nails for herself and her friends. Encouraged by their support and motivated by her boyfriend Jonathan, a web designer, she decided to turn her passion into a business. Together, they developed a business plan, designed a logo, and set up all the essentials. Fly Nails by Ilani launched its website on August 20, 2022.
2024
Ilani is now two years into her luxury press-on nail business. She has rebranded, introduced membership and rewards programs, and cultivated a supportive, empowering community of nail artists and technicians.

Ilani, founder of Fly Nails by Ilani, began her nail journey at 13, inspired by her aunt. Passionate about press-ons and 3D art, she launched her business in 2022. Known for creativity and precision, Ilani has built a vibrant, supportive community.
